Journey Through the Sahara
The goal was always to go deep into the unknkown in search of surf. Our rail journey began from an iron mining center in the Sahara, snaking through the desert toward a port town on the west coast of Africa. My aim was to try and to capture the spirit of adventure and exploration through this incredible landscape. To me this trip was about falling in love with the hardship and inevitable beauty in the process of getting there.

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to work with Panasonic on a global commercial for the launch of their new Lumix S1RII camera. It was a chance to put the camera through its paces in remote, challenging environments—exactly the kind of places I love to shoot. The campaign highlights the camera’s performance in the field and my approach to storytelling through photography.
